(01) The brief
Stronk makes illuminated signs, channel letters and laser-cut and engraved metal pieces in Santiago. It had great work in WhatsApp photos, but no website to show it and no name that was easy to spell over the phone.
(02) What it does
- Sign simulator: the customer types their business name, picks material and lighting, sees it on a wall by day and night and requests a quote on WhatsApp with the design in the message.
- Portfolio with the photo and video of each piece together, filtered by category.
- One page per service and a quote form saved to the panel.
(03) How it was built
- Next.js 16 deployed on Cloudflare Workers with OpenNext; content and quotes in Convex.
- “Lit” design: the site is a storefront at night and the theme button works as the sign’s switch.
- Client photos retouched without inventing anything: every sign is checked against the original before publishing.
(04) Security
- Panel with its own user and server session; admin functions cannot be called from the browser.
- Photos and videos are served through our own proxy, without exposing the storage.
- Form validated in the browser and again on the server with Chilean rules.
(05) Speed and Google
Subset self-hosted fonts, WebP images and 2x2 cards on phones so the page stays short.
(06) What it deliberately doesn’t do
- No online payment: quotes close on WhatsApp or email.
